Dutch stockbroker BUX is offering users of its investment app the chance to invest in crypto, as it looks to expand investment options.
BUX Zero customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Spain will be able to invest in a selection of more than 20 cryptocurrencies in addition to stocks and ETFs on the app.
They will be able to in invest cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
“Cryptocurrencies are here to stay, and we believe that for investors to build balanced portfolios, we need to be able to offer a selection of assets that are valuable for all of our clients, said Yorick Naeff, CEO, BUX.
“Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies offer innovative solutions that may prove to become a new way of hedging against a global economic crisis as well as disrupting old economic models that no longer serve the modern investor.”
BUX Zero launched in the Netherlands in 2019 and the zero-commission app is designed for both the experienced investor as well as those new to the world of finance.
BUX Zero is currently available in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Ireland and Spain.
BUX undertook a huge $80m funding round last year and early this month launched US fractional share trading for its European customers.
The launch also made BUX the first stockbroker in the Netherlands to offer fractional share trading to retail investors.
